Start of the year with a record: Panther Print's flexo-preprint production reaches a new daily high

With 1,397,000 m² in 24 hours, the former record (1,249,000 m²) from 2022 and the highest value set in 2021 with 1,174,000 m² have been set again.

This enormous performance was achieved through the production of three preprint orders and the corresponding makeready processes. The team at Panther Print GmbH has once again proven that printing is more than just operating a printing machine correctly.

The printing specialists, supported by the operations office and all supporting departments, produced almost 1.4 million square meters in just one day on a central cylinder flexo-preprint printing press called 96S. This once again demonstrated the performance of the 8-colour machine, which is designed for a working width of 2,800 millimeters, and its operators.

The orders with a total of 68 rolls were produced at an average speed of 487 m/min. To ensure stable production, high-performance doctor blades were used that can withstand the enormous load.

But a stable printing process also requires very good clichés, anilox rollers, functioning colors and a very good technical condition of the printing press.

Exploring the performance limits of such a printing press requires good training and ambitious employees. And that is exactly what Panther Print GmbH is particularly proud of.

Almost every year, at least two new youngstars complete their apprenticeship as media technologists for printing (m/f/d) in order to work on the state-of-the-art flexo-preprint machine.

The printers, whether long-term employees or young professionals at Panther Print, are very good at their craft and are responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards.
